A SCHOOL HYMN.

Mount Albert Grammar School, Auckland, marked the close of the school year 1929 by singing the recently adopted school hymn, tho first verso of which runs:—

Dusk on tho walla, and tho twilight llnccr-

Tlarlteu, yet lighten, mir nalf-dlmmcd saw;: Wlillo ou tho panels still bright with Ills. flugering God writes this legend In golden rays: "Through hardship to glory." The verses were written by Mr. J. A. W. Bennett, a former pupil, who left iUe school last year.
