TROUBLESOME TRIP
GOULD PARTY'S RETURN BACK AT BASE IN A WEEK (By Russell Owen —Special to "New York Times." BAY OF WHALES, 15th January. Dr. Gould's geological party should be back here within a week. They have had a slow, troublesome trip back, being delayed for several days beyond the crevassed area. To-day we received the following message from Dr. Gould: "Could not wait, any longer for better wea.ther, so we left the trail entirely and came north out of tho crevasses all right, for with the milky visibility we picked your trail again twelve hours later.
