IN GANGES AT ALLAHABAD

INDIA'S GREATEST FESTIVAL

DELHI, 16th January.

A million and a half pilgrims have gathered for the Kumbh-Mela, India's greatest festival, which is held at Allahabad every twelve years, at a point in front of tho port where the Ganges and Jumma meet. A great roar of "Earn Earn" went up from the multitude upon glimpsing the sun's first beams. Tho immersion continues for several days.
