RIMUTAKA LINE

PROPOSED DEVIATION

INVESTIGATION BEING MADE

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") MASTEETON, This Day. That the proposed deviation of the Eimutaka railway line is at present under investigation by a committee of Departmental officers is the advice received by Mr. G. E. Sykes, M.P., in a letter received by him from the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, on behalf of the Minister of Eailways. The letter further stated that the representations made by the Wairarapa Progress League would receive careful consideration when a final decision was being made in the matter.
