AUCKLAND NOMINATIONS

The Auckland Yachfc and Motor-boat Association has accepted the' nominations of the.Val (Southland) and. the Colleen (Canterbury) , for the Sanders Cup. . . . V ■■■'.■■.• Messrs. Palmer and Collings were appointed to represent Auckland at the Dominion confenence. ..The delegates were instructed to vote against the Otago remit that contests be held by the provinoea^in rotation. Tho Wellington Yachting Association forwarded a remit suggesting the formation of a Dominion yachting body to control all New ; Zealand yacht, launch, and outboard ■'championships. The remit did not find favour with the association, and it was considered, impracticable. The- chairman pointed out that if it were put into effect -it would mean that ttfij association would have to hand over the Sanders Cup to the new body v and the same would apply to the Takapuna Boating Club in regard to the Cornwell Cup.' Mr. Palmer.ajso. mentioned.that outboard racing and .th&-question, of New Zealand' championships ;f6r- outboards would be discussed by special representatives at the confenence,-and: it was decided-to dnvite delegates from the KusselT Regatta Cluft, and-the Outboard Association,1 to . attend the Dominion conference..
