SWORDFISH CAUGHT
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Pott.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The first swordfish of the season was caught at Russell yesterday, when Mr. White Wickham, of England, landed a black marlin weighing 3821b. Mr. Wickham, 'in company with Commander C. E. Hotham, Commander of H.M.S. Laburnum, was fishing from the launch Ozone. The swordfish broached nine times, and was captured after a thrilling display lasting for two hours.
