STOWAWAYS IMPRISONED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

DUNEDIN, This Day.

Four stowaways, all seafaring men, were before the Court this morning. The captain of the Kaituna said that the men were discovered when the vessel was four days out from Sydney. He did not put them to work. One of the men told the Court that he had come here to get work. Another said that he had been told there was work to be had in the New Zealand bush. They had no money. The master stated that the men's'conduct had been good. They had volunteered for work. Each was sentenced to twentyone days' imprisonment.
