FIGHT ON LINWOOD GREEN

(Special to "The Evening Post.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

A regrettable incident occurred on the Linwood Bowling Club's green late on Saturday afternoon, during the progress of one of the games in tho club championship.

Following an argument regarding tho play in ono of the heads, one player, who occupies a prominent position in the club, is said to have attacked another player while the latter was in the act of delivering his bowl, striking him in the mouth. ,

A fight between the two players ensued, according to the report, both men receiving injuries which necessitated medical attention. *

It is further alleged that language of an unparliamentary character was used by the aggressor in the contest.
