The Eev. Lionel B. Fletcher,:.minister of the Beresford Street Congregational Church, Auckland,-who--was recently offered the position ofi general secretary of the Christian Endeavour Union of Great Britain, has decided to decline the offer. The death occurred yesterday a$ his residence in Seaioun of Mr. Benjamin. Frobury Gardiner, J.P., afcthe age of. 61. The deceased had been, jn business in Wellington for over thirty. ,years. He was an office-bearer and, trustee of the Taranaki Street Methodist-Church, being associated besides withi a number of social, organisations.
