NINE KILLED

CROSSING SMASH IN OHIO VANCOUVER, 4th January. A. score of students composing a basketball team were singing on. board a bus when, a Pennsylvania train struck the vehicle at a crossing outside •the village of Shreve, Ohio. Nine were killed and all the others on board were injured. Witnesses said the driver saw the train and slowed down, but skidded on the icy pavement and stalled right across the tracks.
