Weekly quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meats based on actual sales of wholesale quantities of carcasses of mutton or lamb or quarters of beef delivered to Smithfield market and/or ex London stores are compiled by the Quotations Committee at Smithfield as follows: To arrive at the equivalent ex ship values %d per lb should be deducted from the prices quoted below. The quotations are an average for the week, and are not selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on offer. New Zealand sheep: Canterbury and North Island. selected crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 48-561b, 7d per lb; ditto 57-641b, 6%dj ditto, 65-721b, 6 3-Bd. The\ New Zealand Meat Board's cable is in almost identical terms as to New Zealand produce. The board reports the lamb market firmer, all prices advanced. Mutton better demand. Beef firm.
