It is understood E. H. Bowley's period of treatment at Botorua ■will be longer than was anticipated, and that this player will not be available for the first Test. Soibb mention has been made of the possibility of calling upon another player to assist the M.C.C. i>i some of its matches. There are two English county players, Wensley and Newman, coaching in the Dominion, and another player with first-class cricket experience in England is E. D. Blundell, who arrives from England tomorrow, and who has been mentioned as a substitute for the M.C.C. touring teams should one be required.
