A WEDDING IN THE FAIRY RING

Fairiel's Ring was very excited. Princess Spring was to be married to Prince Redcap of the snowy land where Father Christmas lives. All the Fairy Cobblers were making pretty shoes, and the Fairy Dressmakers were making sunshiny dresses to wear to the wedding. Soon one day Prince Redcap came. Princess Spring had on a lovely dress. It was made of pieces of rainbow, and spiders' web, and stars, with sunset clouds for her veil. Prince Redcap was dressed iri a green suit and a red cap. Queen Fairiel had on a dress of butterflies' wings. They were just going to be married when they heard a loud buzzing noise. They looked up and saw Father Christmas riding- on a big, fat, bumble bee. He was holding a big fat sack, and what do you think was in it? Lots of,wedding presents! There was a ; posy, and,a wedding cake with bells on it. And that was what the noise was. The bells on the wedding cake! • There was a magic wand, and a golden crown for Redcap, and a silver one for Spring.. They were'delighted. After the wedding was over, Fairiel and Father Christmas, Princess Soring, and Prince Redcap went for a ride on a water lily leaf, with aTjutterfly pulling them along. A big fish, splashed behind them with his tail, and helped to pull, too. Then they landed again, and all the Fairy people cried, "Hip-Hip-Hurrah for Redcap and Spring!" and "Hip-Hip-Hurrah for Father Christmas and Queen Fairiel!" Seatoun. ■, /;•, "RAINBOW FAIRY." ' I
