SITUATION IN THE SOUTH
British Official Wireless. RUG-BY, 18th December. According to reports received iv London, the situation in China continues to improve. In the south the Cantonese forces are advancing up the West Eiver, and a resumption of norn.al traffic is expected shortly. A British gunboat at Woochow reports that no molestation of foreigners has occurred, but they will remain until the Canton occupation is completed.
