WINGATUI NOTES
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") DUNEMN, This Day. Very 'heavy rain fell at Wingutiii tliroiigli the night, making the plough track too wet for use yesterday, and all work was done on the course proper, the trestles being 45ft out from the rails. When tlie work commenced the track was n hit!-.; slippery, but it quickly improved. It was, however, much slower than on Tuesday morning. Waving Corn took 56scc to sprint half a mile, and Fun and Fancy oC l-ssec for the same task. Waving Corn is bigger and stronger now than she has been at any other part of this season, and is galloping well. Evening was trotted a couple of rounds, and appeared to be lame in the off shoulder. Salmo Salar and Pink Sunrise were companions in strong work. The latter was moving very attractively. Sky Sign and Royal Flower took Imin 24 i-osec to run six furlongs, and Cami- . sader, working by himself, took Imin 27 4-ssee for the same journey. Banderilla, who has lightened up a' lot during the past week, was restricted to slow work. • Sailing Home took Imin 40see to run seven furlongs, the last five being covered in Imin 10 3-ssec. Royal Saxon was being hard held at the »'r t ? f &, ttoee-ftirlong sprint with Blue Metal, which took 46sec. The Paladin—Ada Merling and Last Dart—Mantua fillies were given a couple of rounds at a slow pace. The latter is a very shapely filly. Academy was going better than All Style at the end of five furlongs in Imin Crossbow ran home by himself over the same journey in Imin llsec. Gold Tinge, Franeolin, and El Boa ran out a solid five furlongs in Imin 7 l-ssec. Ihe last named was going the best Jimmy Trigger jumped three hurdles indifferently. He had not sufficient pace on, and hit each fence, dwelling badly on landing. Tembroney and Solmar took 1 mi" 16 l-sseo to run five furlongs, and both of them moved more freely than earlier m the week, evidently appreciating the softer going. Wingatui was going much better than John Bradbury throughout a seven-fur-long gallop, the last sis of which took 1 mm Jo 1-osec. _ Heather Lad ran a mile easily in 2min osec, and appears to be quite sound again.
