DROWNED IN THE WAIKATO

HAMILTON, This Day. A drowning accident occurred in the Waikato Eiver, 37 miles above Arapuni dam, on Tuesday afternoon. The victim, Jack Saiiisbury, a Government survey cadet, lost his life in attempting to recover a dinghy which had broken loose. Ho and a mate, Alan Mills, noticed the dinghy floating away, and both stripped and attempted to recover it. . The river in the vicinity is treacherous, with strong currents and rapids, and both wore caught in the rapids. Mills was thrown upon a rock and was able to reach the shore, but Sainsbury disappeared.
