TWO CALLS TO FIRES
A one-storied private, residence,, con^' taining five rooms, at 12, Butt street, • Brooklyn, occupied by William Prete- 1' rick Moran and owned by. Mrs. Alice E. Avery, with its contents,.was dam-1 aged by fire and water last night. The! Fire Brigade received the call to the ; outbreak at 9.48 p.m.- The house was; insured for £700 in the Phoenix Office! and the contents for £.200 in the same : oftiee.
The Fire Brigade was also called outi at 2.22 a.m. to-day to 17, Wha street/ Lyall Bay, a woodon house of one floor; and five rooms, occupied by Bert M'Kay; and owned by W. Stooner. The houses with its contents, was damaged by fire and water. There is an insuranaa pol* icy o£ £550 on the houae, and tlw con» tents were injured for £250.
