AGAIN DISAPPOINTED
POSTPONEMENT INEVITABLE
LONDON, 24th November. Members of Parliament were again disappointed in their trip in ElOl. Heavy rain and a gale deterred many from going to Cardington, others taking a chance.
The first hitch was when the weight connected with the lift became detached and the lift was put out of action. The last 2o guests climbed 314 steps m order to board the airship where everybody lunched satisfactorily.
It was then announced that the trip lad been abandoned, on the grounds that owing' to the rain so weighting the envelope that with such a large party the ship might be overburdenedand, secondly; if the gale persisted it might be difficult to moor her ao-ain The final decision was left with Lord Thompson, the Air Minister, who wired Jus apologies, but said in the circumstances the flight must be postponed.
