A new organisation for the study and performance o£ music written for the small orchestra and called the Guild of Music Makers has been formed recently, under the conductorship of Mr. John Bishop On Saturday night the new guild was entertained m the Bristol Piano Company's Salon by Mrs. Young, Mrs. M'Donald Wilson, and Mrs. F. B. Young. About 100 guests were present, and were delighted with the high standard already attained by the guild players. Mendelssohn's Overture, 'FingaFs Cave," Haydn's Symphony m D, and a number of smaller pieces were performed. Miss Christine Ormiston was .the soloist.
