WORSER BAY SWIMMING CLUB.
llie opening of the 1929-30 season of the Woraer Bay Swimming and Life-saving Club will be held on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. Mr R. Seniple, M.P., the club's patron, V.UI declare the season open, after which t IT 1-. 1, lnsPect teams from Worser Bay Lyall Bay, Maranui, and Island Bay Lifesaving Clubs. There will be swimming races and life-saving displays by the clubs! Atternoon tea. will be provided for visitors, lhis club was very successful in interclub competitions last season winning the Wahler and Novice Cups, and also gained a large number of Royal Lifesaving Society's awards. The ensuing season promises to be even better than last year s. A dance is to be held in the evening at the beatoun Bowling Club's Pavilion.
