Beautiful weather prevails, and there is a fast track for the first day of the Otahuhu Trotting Club's Spring Meeting. The attendance is fair. Results:
Introductory Handicap, of 200 soys; one mile and a half; 3.47 class.—l 2 Togo's Promis , scr, 1; 3 Audo Spray, scr, 2; 5 Don Zolock, 12yds bhd, 3. Scratched: Wiriwhata. Won .by a neck. Time, 3min 39 4-ssec.
Mangere Handicap, of 200 soys; one mile and a quarter; 3.0 class.—7 First Flight, 24yds bhd, 1; 12 Carnui, scr, 2; 1.0 Nella Dillon, 60yds bhd, 3. Scratched: Man o' Belle, Princess Betty, Kingclere. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 52 2-ssee.
Onehunga Handicap, of 250 soys; two miles; 4.38 class.—3 Rockburn, 60yds bhd, 1; 2 Florent, 36yds bhd, 2; i Reremai, 48yds bhd, 3. Scratched: Arikitoa, Explosion. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 4min 31 2-ssec.
Lee, who met with an accident in the Steeplechase at Mar ton in March last while riding Gun Area, and has since been in hospital, has now com-, pletely recovered, and was discharged from hospital yesterday morning. -"He leaves to-night to do tho West Coast meetings.
