VACANCY IN MINISTRY

NOT TO BE FILLED YET

(By Telegraph.)

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

AUCKLAND, This Day. In view of the impending departure for England of the Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister of Justice and Defence, who has been- appointed High Commissioner, there is much speculation concerning the next appointment to fill the vacancy in the Ministry. The "Star" is in a position to state that it is unlikely that any fresh appointment will be made till shortly before the 1930 session of Parliament. Meantime the Hon. T. K. Sidey, Leader of the Legislative. Council and Attor-ney-General, will probably take the portfolio of Justice, and one of the present Ministers will take temporary charge of the Defence Department
