PUBLIC NOTICES. WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. "VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at ■*? a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Tuesday, the sth November, 1029, the following resolution was passed:— That the Wellington City Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its Amendments, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its Amendment, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and its Amendments, and of all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, and in pursuance of the Consent of the Governor-General in Council given by Order-in-Council, made pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, dated the 4th day of November, 11)29, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order:— 1. That a Special Loan of Eighty thou-: sand pounds (£80,000), to be known as "The Wellington City Street Widening Loan No. 2, 1929," be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of meeting the purchase money, compensation, andv expenditure in relation to the purchase or taking of any lands as authorised in and by Part IV. of the said Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, as amended by the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1927, and for recouping any moneys expended by the Council for such purposes and for the purpose of constructing and paving, the widening, diversion, alteration, or extension of the following streets in the City of Wellington: Taranaki street, Tory street, Bond street, Lamb ton quay and Bowen street, Hunter street and Glasgow street. jAlsb for the acquisition of properties as circumstances necessitate or opportunity offers in addition to properties in the streets specified. 2. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said Special Loan shall not exceed Five pounds ten shillings (£5 10s) per centum' per annum, payable half-yearly during the currency of the said Special Loan, being a period not exceeding Ten (10) years from the Twentieth day of December, 1929. 3. That a sinking fund of One pound (£1) per centum per'annum be established in connection with the said Special Loan. . ' . 4. That the security for the interest and sinking fund and repayment of the said Special Loan be a special rate of One-sixteenth of a penny (l-16d) in the pound, made and levied on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington. 5. The Wellington City Council, pursuant to the provisions of the' Health Act, 1920, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their respective Amendments, and in pursuance of a requisition of the Board of Health issued under Section 22 of the Health Act, 1920, and dated the,,l3th day o£ September, 1929, and pursuant "to an Order-in-Council dated the 29th day of October, 1929, and gazetted in the New Zealand "Gazette" number 73 of the 31st day of October, 1929, at-page 2745, issued under the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any) it enabling, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order:— 1. That a Special Loan of Thirty-eight thousand pounds (£38,000), to be known as "The Wellington City, Seatoun. Kilbirnie, and Island Bay Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1929," be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of providing the following sanitary works, that is to say: Drainage works for the purpose of affording drainage to parts of the districts of Seatoun, Kilbirnie, and Island Bay, and sewerage works for the purpose of affording sewerage to-the district of Island Bay. 2. That the interest on the said Loan be at a rate not exceeding Five' pounds ten shillings (£5 10s) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly during the currency of the said Loan, being a period not exceeding Ten (10) years from the twentieth day of December, 1929. 3. That a sinking fund of an annual sum of One pound (£1) per centum per annum on the amount of the Loan from time to time raised be established in connection with the said Loan. 4. That the security for the interest, sinking fund and other charges, and repayment of the said Loan be a, special rate on the unimproved value of all" rateable property .in the City of Wellington, so calculated as to yield the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said Loan and 10 per cent, additional .on these amounts. ■ 5. That Thirty-eight (38) debentures, each of One thousand pounds (£1000), and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, be executed, sealed, and issued.
