Popular items were presented to the guests by Mrs. Theo. Hills's pupils at the bailors mend Society on Tuesday. Rousing applause was given to the combined efforts ot the pupils in the community singing, and the encores were many. Light refreshments were dispensed. The performers were: Mesdames B. J. Newport, L. Hills, Worthington, Misses M. Baumgien, O. Gardner, Eva Hali, L. Hills, B. Haynes, J. Newport, K. Gardner, 0. Flett, V Sherbrook, 11. Haynes, and Master H. Johaunson. Mrs. Lance Hills was at the piano. Mr. J. Moore, tniesioner, spoke.on the temperance question, and pledges were added to the books. Once more the competitions aroused keen interest. The prizes came from the hostess, and went to the Cormthic and Marama.
