It is confidently expected that entries will be received from Marsden, Queen Margaret, Hutfc Valley High School, Technical Cqllege, Girls' College, East Girls' College, Chilton House (Island Bay), and Chilton St. James (Lower Hutt). 4s every one of these schools possesses sov^ eral proinisjng girl players, some very, keen contests should result. ' Entries.for the championships close with the Kpn. secretary (Mr. W. J. Melody) on Thursday next. PRIMARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY. The girls' inter-school competition for the Grady Cup will be advanced to the quarter-finals on Friday next, and- the draw for the remaining matches; will be published as soon as results come to hand. Already there is a. noticeable quickening of interest in the forty city and suburban schools which possess tennis courts, in the big annual tournament which commences at Miramar on Saturday, 30th November, at 8 a.m.

Entries from each school are limited to ten girls and/or ten boys in each of the following events, viz.: Boys' singles, boys' doubles, girls' singles, girls' doubles, and mixed doubles. Entries for all events close with the acting-hon. secretary, Mr. |W. J. Melody, on Tuesday, 26th November, at i p.m., at the Teachers' Institute, when the annual meeting of the W.P.S.L.T,A.
