HUTT VALLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The Hutt Valley Horticultural Society has a very energetic and enthusiastic executive, and every endeavour is being made to give horticulturists an opportunity of exhibiting and of seeing the finest flowers it is possible to produce in the district. There "is every prospect of a fine display at the Rose Show tomorrow in King George's Theatre, Lower Hutt. The exhibition will be officially opened by the Mayor of Lower Hutt (Sir Alexander .Roberts) at 3 p.m. This is the only show of the season which is only open for one day, and lovers of-flow-ers should not miss the opportunity of seeing the glorious display of colour and perfection of blooms. The special items will be: Roses, sweet peas, carnations, cut flowers, and decorative sections; also grand display by the Hutt Scenic Reserves "section, most' original decorated table, and a great meccano exhibit by the boys. The presentation of prizes will take place at 9 p.m. The Ladies' Committee will have flower stall, sweets, and refreshments to supply the wants of the visitors. Harbard's orchestra will be in attendance.
