WANGANUI, This Day

_ The Hon. W. A. Veiteh, Minister of Mines, referring to the Linton Colliery disaster, stated that, after the inquest was, completed, he proposed, -irrespective of tho finding, to recommend that Cabinet set up a- Eoyal Commission under the terms of the Commission of Inquiry Act 1908 in order to ascertain the cause of tho disaster. The Commission would inquire fully into the circumstances surrounding the accident and make the recommendations considered necessary to prevent a recurrence.
