NOT "AERO" WEATHER
COLD CHANGE PROMISED
From the forecast issued to-day, it does not seem that there will be "aero" weather for the pageant tomorrow. As a matter of fact the indications suggest the possibility of no pageant. The meteorological chart to-day contains very many unpopular i terms. Changeable and squally weather, with showers, is mentioned, but, of course, the optimistic will concede there is the possibility of a' change taking place overnight.
Pressure has fallen everywhere, the depression covering the Dominion having' intensified considerably since last night. Strong winds between north and west have prevailed, reaching gale force at places. A particularly strong gale was reported this morning about Foveaux Strait/ The weather has been unsettled and chaugeable, with iain in most districts, but eastern districts'have Iliad only light and scattered falls. Conditions have continued mild in most parts, but a decided drop in temperature has taken place in the extreme south.
The forecast is for strong1 westerly ■winds-to gales, backing soon to southerlies in the southern1 districts, and southerlies becoming general during the next twenty-four hours. The weather is likely to be changeable and squally, with showers in most districts and some heavy falls, with thunder in some places. Indications are for a cold change working up within tho next twenty-four hours.
