SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Yesterday's anti-cyclone has passed eastwards of the Dominion, and pressure has fallen slowly with the advance of an extensive depression across the Tasman Sea. Fine, pleasant weather ■ was : experienced generally during Tuesday, but since Tuesday night cloudy conditions have overspread the greater part of the country, and this morning 'it was raining at quite a number of places In the North Island, and at a few scattered station3'in: the South. Moderate northerly winds have predominated, with mild temperatures.
