COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' CHOIR.

On Saturday evening next the' Commercial Travellers' Choir is giving Its final concert of the 1929 season, and for this performance a very flue programme has been arranged. The lady vocalist will bo Miss Alma Clegg, tho young soprano, who made a favourable impression in the Choral Union's presentation of "Hiawatha." and the instrumentalist will bo Mr. Desmond Lavin, tho young violinist, who has numerous successful performances to his credit, having appeared with the Wellington Symphony Orchestra and tho Wellington Chamber Music Players as well as assisting the choir on previous occasions. Tho soloists from the choir are Mr. A. E. Coo (tenor) and Mr. A. G. Flanagan (baritone). The chief number of the choir Items will be Dudley Buck's "King Olaf's Christmas" cantata, written for male voices and tenor and bass soloistii. Tho solo parts will bo taken by Messrs. Pegg and Rodgor respectively. Other Items will be "The Phantom Host" (Hegar), a descriptive number, and Bantock's "Hope the Hornhlower," the quieter vein will be represented by "My Love Is Like a Red, Rerl Rose" and "Annie Laurie," while humour will have its placo in "Italian Salad." this being a collection of musical terms sung in tho form of Grand Opera. The choir will be under the baton of Mr. H. Temple White and tho accompanist will be Mr. W. A. Gatheridge. The bos plan is at The Bristol.
