BOOKMAKING AT MAE-TON

AIABTON, 12th November Described by the police as a silver bettor, William John Eees, a wellknown local business man, was fined £5 Is to-day for using his premises as a common gaming house. The police said that the town was becoming overrun with bookmakers ana an effort was being made to clean things up.
