MILITARY BOXING
The military inter-company boxing tournament was commenced at the Community Club Gymnasium on Wednesday night and continued on Thursday. Only the preliminary bouts were fought, and the finals will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday next. The referee was Mr. Earl Stewart; and the judges were Major D. W. M'Clurg, M.C., Captain G. In the first round he floored the sailorman once. In the second round he opened well, with his. right. Withey was adjudged the winner of a very • interesting and close fight. Lightweight.—H.
