The announcement was made some time ago of the ordering by the King of a six-wheeled,motor-car.to carry himself and his friends to the moors when he resumes shooting. The car, a photograph of which is here published, has been delivered. It is capable of being driven over the roughest of roads, and even loose sand and ploughed fields, and can travel at a speed of 60 miles an hour on the open road. The King took a very close interest in the de, sign and construction of the vehicle, and some of the best brains amongst the engineering and body-building experts of. the Kingdom collaborated in its production. The chassis is of the six--wheeled type, and the two rear wheels on each side can be coupled up by means of an easily adjusted caterpillar drive. Irithis cpndi-' tipn the car can cross the roughest country and scale the steepest gradients even in the most inclement weather. The engine is one. of 21 horse-power, while the body is especially sprung to eliimhate excessive movement under rigorous travelling conditions. 1 here are two seats in rear, in addition to the box seat on which the chauffeur sits, while ample storage room is made for sporting equipment. , "■■ °.'
