SHORTT'S THEATRE.
The girl he was in love with offered him her love If he would'throw away his detective lieutenant's badge, turn against society, and join with the underworld crooks. It was wealth and the. love he wanted more than anything else against honour. George Bancroft, as the detective, 'has that decision to make in "The Drag Net," ..which is now being shown at Shortt's Theatre. The choice he makes, and the terrific dangers he encounters in adhering to his decision are pictured In this fine melodrama. Evelyn Brent and William Powell are also in the cast. A famous comedy pair, Polly Moran and Harry Gribbon, both of whom used to be featured on the old Mack Sennett lot some years ago, are together again in a farce-comedy, "Honeymoon." Flash, the dog, is also In the cast.
