SHORTT'S THEATRE.
In "The Duke Steps Out," a comedy drama which is now being shown at Shortt's Theatre, Wlll/am Halnev plays th« role of an ambitious young amateur boxer who, to be near * girl who attracts his fancy, goes to college. His efforts to hide his profession in the classroom, and to d«/end his title in. a championship bout give rise to a score of .thrills and hilarious situations. Joan Crawford is in* the east. Dorothy Boyd appears in "Love's Option," which tells of one man's desperate endeavours to ruin another. Many of the scenes are laid amidst the South American mines. Pat. Ah erne and Henry Vibrant are also in the cast of this splendid British picture.
