LONDON, 3rd October. Mr. P. Snowden, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced at the Labour Conference that* he was considering appointing a committee to examine the relationship of banking with industry. The Board of Trade ,and the Treasury were investigating the Hatry affair. He would not hesitate to1 strengthen and amend the present company law to give greater security to the general investor, if-necessary.
