SYDNEY, This Day. It is reported that a number of Northern Queensland, sugar growers, dissatisfied with existing labour conditions, sent an expert to New Guinea to investigate the possibility of establishing plantations there. Hia report is so favourable that the farmers are takm; steps to form a company of a million sterling capital. It is understood that the syndicate has secured twenty thousand acres and it is.expected withi four years the annual yield will bo thirty thousand tons. Australian sugar growers outside tho syndicate are formulating plans to oppose the scheme.
