BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the bylaws were dealt svith in the Magistrate's Court yesterday by Mr. T. B; M'Neil, S.M. ' Leaving their cars unattended cost William Jvnox £J, Jack Nelson 10s, and Arthur Gamble and Claude T. Arthur 5s each. '
Despite a warning from a constable, Alfred Howard continued to drive his motor-car without a rear number plate. The breach cost him £1. For having no driver's licence Henry P. Caselberg was fined 10s. Similar fines were imposed on Peter L. Arcus for having no tail light, and Joseph T. Horton, who left his motor-car stationary at a tram ston.
Is onnan Carroll, for driving in a manner dangerous to the public, was ordered to pay costs, £4 8s 6d.
For allowing a chimney to catch fire, Hugh Aplin was fined 2s 6d.
