SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

Miss M. Tolan was hostess at the concert at the Sailors' Friend, Society on Tuesday. She and her helpers came in for rounds o£ applause: and many encores. Light refreshments were handed to the guests by the hostess and her helpers. The performers were Mesdamea Tolan and Clarke, and Misses Tolan, Blake, Davies, V. Tolan, and Mr. Romaine. Mrs. Tolan and Miss M. Tolan were at the piano. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, spoke on "The Strange Ways of Man." Pledges followed. The competition prizes came from the hostess.
