Chapman (Labour, Wellington ■Nprth) gave notice^to ask the Post-master-General if he would consider the advisability of altering the constitution <of. the Promotions Board of the Post and Telegraph Department in the direction "of providing equal representation for the Administration and the officers of the Department, with the Secretary of the Department as president.

.The Leader,- of the Opposition (the J&ght-Hon. J. ,G. Coates) asked tliat an opportunity be given to discuss the Bailway Statement before the Railway ■Estimates wore taken. He wished to reply to ; criticism levelled against his administration of the Railways. Tho Prime Minister said that an opportunity would be given.The lieader of the Labour Party (Mr. H. E.-Holland) said there were other papers, to be discussed apart from the . Kailway Statement. It ought to be possible, to make some arrangement whoreby members who specialised in certain subjects would discuss papers in which they were interested. .... . (Proceeding.)
