For some weeks past a committee oi! ladies consisting of Mesdames Cook (convener), M'Kenzie, Whyte, Martin, Wilkinson, and Moss have been working energetically sewing and canvassing Island Bay for the sale of work that, is to bo held on Wednesday-next; and it is expected that a. considerable amount will be raised' for the inskU improvements of the school.
