HUIA DEFEAT V.M.C.A.
Huia and V.M.C.A. were evenly matched, and the final score, 3-2, in Huia's favour, fairly represented the run of the play. At half-time Huia had a two-goal advantage, the scorers being Bennett and Martin (2) for Huia, and Shepherd for V.M.C.A. Young Men improved in the second spell, but although Pierce got through to score, they werei unable to overhaul their opponents. The referee was Mr. W. A. Scott.
