™. t DUNEDIN, This Day. That gold still remains at Bluespur, at the head of the famous Gabriel's GUUy is proved by the success of Gabriel's Gully bluicmg Company. It was in 1912 that this company came into existence. A party of eight men purchased the claim, plant and water rights of the Bluespur Consolidated Company, whose office and shareholders were in London. It was and is a large concern, owning 150 miles of water races f\nd five dams.
Ihe new company set to work immediately with hydraulic power, and it was commonly believed that it did pretty well but it is now stated authoritatively that the shareholders have in seventeen years of tlie company's operations received dividends aggregating just upon £29,000.
