A LOWER HUTT ROBBERY
Charged with breaking and entering the shop of Hamer Joseph Tustin at Lower Hutt and stealing tobacco, cigarettes, and groceries of a total value of £12 4s, Georgo Thomas Gordon, a carpenter, aged 27, appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day.
During the course of his evidence Detective W. Kane produced a statement made by the accused in which he admitted the offence and stated that he had also had the intention of setting fire to the place. Gordon, who was represented by Mr. A. B. Siovwright, pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supromo Court for sentence.
