STANDING FOR LABOUR

British Official Wireless. RUGBY, 28th June. Sir William Jowitt, Attorney-General was last night adopted as Labour canlidate by the Preston Trades and Labour Council for the by-election caused by Sir William's resignation on joining the Labour Party. The Preston Liberal Party has not yet decided whether a Liberal candidate will be put forward. A Conservative will contest the seat.
