I The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 29th June,, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow: Market continues dull., No auc-' tion this week and values unchanged. Comparative closing values for June^ August shipments: Highpoints, £33 10s; fair, £31; common, £29 10s. Tow, second grade £21, third grade £17 10s. Oats: Market steadier, with better inquiry for forward position. Plate afloat sold 21s 6d. Shipment to be in July quoted same price. Chilian afloat sold 21s, present value is 21s 6d. English demand continues small. Good bold white offered 29s 6d.-Spring crops making good progress. Nominal value New Zealand "A" grade gartons, shipment to be in July, 30s. Peas: Maple, demand slow, No. 1 New Zealand for June-July or July-August shipments offered Gls. English old crop firmly held. Very choice quoted 61s to 6as. Blues: Following good trade in afloat, Japanese demand this week smaller.- Price of forward positions reduced 7s 6d to 10s. Arrived parcels sold ±lo 1/s 6d to £16 as. No inquiry for colonial. Beans: Market firm. English winter new crop offered 50s to 51s. Danish Cocksfoot: New crop now offered; 90 per cent, (nominal) seed quoted 60s per cwt f.o.b. Copenhagen, SeptemberOctober shipment. Apples: Market quiet, but firm. New Zealand stocks in London have cleared ia.S. Port Hunter has commenced to discharge to-day. Otago consignments unloading first. Condition appears to be veryjpod. Prices: Stunner, Statesman, and Taema, 17s to 20s per case.
