Bccontly tho Australian-bred and owned Magdaff was sent over to Auckland to bo operated on for respiratory troubles, and during his stay hera he was under the care of J. Williamson at Ellerslie. By the Maheno, which arrived in Auckland to-day, another Australian horse, Prime Don, came across to the same trainer to be similarly treated by Dr. W. 0. Ring. He is a four-year-old by Sarchedon—Primeness, and as a two-year-old performed well, winning a Nursery Handicap at Canterbury Park, and his placings include second to Royal Feast in the A.J.C. Sires' Produce Stakes. Last season Prime Don won tho Three-year-old Handicap, seven furlongs, at Rosehill, and the Members' Handicap, one mile and a quarter, at the A.J.O. Spring Meeting. He was third in the Clibborn Stakes, one mile, td Saceddn and MerryMint, at tho same meeting. Prime Don was runner-up to Honan in the November Handicap, ono-mile and a quarter, at Rosehill, and third in the Canterbury Handicap and Canterbury Cup at Canterbury Park Meetings.
