United Press Association—By Electric Telecraph—Copyright. (Eeeeived 29th June, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Council of the Enginedrivers' and Firemen's Union decided to call out all men from tho Northern mines. The . Southern and Western engine-drivers 'are to be left at work for the present to provide "sinews of war" for the Northern men. During the week-end the mechanics, deputies, and engineers will be asked to follow the engine-drivers. This grave decision means that all machinery at the mines where the owners have made no special arrangements will be at a standstill. The union conference has written to the Acting-Premier withdrawing its undertaking given ' on 12th June to abide by the findings of the Eoyal Commission, owing to the refusal to allow an open investigation of the coalowners' profits. . .. ; The miners' representatives; likewise, the engine-drivers' executive, describe the Commission's proceedings as farcical, and a general strike will be considered early in the week.
