WEDDINGS

The wedding of Dorothy May, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. T. C. Bell, to William Cyril, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. George M'Gill, took place recently at St. James's Church, Lower Hutt. The bride's charming frock was of shell pink georgette, trimmed with diamante ana orange blossom. The embroidered veil, finished with a coronet of orange blossom, formed a train, and a bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums was carried. The necklet of .Rhinestones worn was the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Vera Johns was bridesmaid, wearing lavender satin and georgette and carrying a bouquet to tone. Two little flower girls were Delza Walker and Shirley M'Gill, these wearing dainty frocks of gold tissue and georgette, with gold lace hats, and carrying gold baskets of rose petals. Mr. Emil M'Gill, Wellington, was best man. The wedding reception was held at the Lounge Hall, where Mrs. Bell received, wearing black lace and mariette and a soft felt hat. Her bouquet was of autumn tinted flowers. Mrs. M'Gill wore a black sequined frock with touches of red, and carried a bouquet to tone. Later the bride and bridegroom left for a tour of the North, the former wearing an almond green and beige frock, with a hat to tone, also a fur coat, the gift of her mother. The gift of the bridegroom to the bridesmaid was a Rhinestone necklet, and to the flower girls, gold armlets. A recent wedding celebrated at St. 'Patrick's Church, Kumara, was that of Miss Kathleen M-'Grath, third daughter of Mr. T. M'Gfath, of Dillmanston, who was married to Mr. Chris. Tait, of Wellington. The bride was accompanied by her father, and was in a handsome white crepe de chine frock, trimmed with silk lace. She wore a veil and wreath of orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Miss Madge M'Grath was bridesmaid, wearing blue crepe de ehino with a hat to match of crinoline straw, and she carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. The best man was Mr. Stewart Ogilvio, of Rimu. The Rev. Father Lordan was the officiating priest, and he celebrated Nuptial Mass after the ceremony. The wedding reception, followed by a dance in the Memorial Hall in the evening, was held at the residence of the bride's parents. The bride and bridegroom loft later, en route for their future home in Wellington.
