ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The meeting of Diamondsand YJVI.C.A. at the Basin Reserve to-morrow in the second round of the championship should again be an attractive game. In the Challenge Cup, Diamonds only staved off defeat in the last few minutes of the game, while V.M.C.A. were distinctly unlucky. Diamonds will have to play a much better game this-week if they wish to hold their unbeaten record. However, they will again be at full strength, and can be relied upon to play a great? game. V.M.C.A. have considerably improved* and have again proved that they are a hard team to defeat in the second round. They will be very keen to avenge their defeat of last week, and will make Diamonds play an extra good game. On No. 2 ground the public will have an opportunity of seeing a'good gamel of hockey between Canterbury and Wellington for the New Zealand Challenge Shield. There will be a Soccer curtain-raiser on one ground and a Jadies' hockey curtain-raiser on. the I other ground.
